Build retirement corpus

  • Determine your current expenses for retiring in the city of your choice = Me
  • Determine the number of years after which you will retire Y
  • Calculate the Monthly expenses after Y using inflation calculator with 7% Inflation rate = MEF
  • Calculate the yearly cost by multiplying with 12. RA (Requirement Amount) = MEF * 12
  • Calculate the corpus required corpus =RA / 0.06
  • Determine the SIP required to create the corpus

Our Action...

  • Create an SIP with proper Equity / Debt Fund allocation
  • Hint : Use SIP Top up option if the SIP amount is too High
  • Do not break the SIP during the entire Duration

One Example...

  • Ravi is 35 and Anita is 32. They Decide to build corpus by the time ravi reaches 60.
  • They find out that cost of monthly Expenses in mysore in 2023 is 30,000
  • So adjust to inclation 7% in the year 2048 the monthly expenses will be 1.63 Lakhs
  • which works out to yearly 19.56 Lakhs
  • Corpus required = 19.56 /0.06 =3.26 Crores
  • He advises them to create an SIP of Rs 17,400 for 25 Years
  • Ravi and Anita agree and start
  • Ravi & Anita Retirement’s Expense is now secured
  • When Ravi Reaches 60 he has to start SWP (Systematic Withdrawal Plan)
